Trainers Profile

Steve Treble

Professional Profile

Steve has completed a Bachelor of Business in Marketing/Economics with a second major in Accounting. His other formal qualifications include: Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment, and Train the Computer Trainer.

Steve commenced working as a computer trainer when he was installing and demonstrating new lending assessment packages for the ANZ Bank in 1988. After leaving the Bank he contracted his services to many organisations in various industries until starting his own training consultancy Hit F1 Computer Training in 1995. Steve has trained people in many industries using various software packages, specialising in Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Databases, Graphics and Project Management. Steve's training has now widened to include conducting Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment workshops including specialised courses in presentation techniques for educators and trainers, effective computer training techniques, time management, conflict resolution and making meetings work.

Steve utilises this experience using a number of different packages in many environments to make his training both relevant and practical, highlighting the most effective ways to use the various software packages. He is therefore able to deliver training that is easily applicable to different work situations and experiences. His training experience is varied including training first time computer users, advanced users, support staff and management.

Steve's training style is both personable and practical, and he trains so that his participants gain confidence in the software they are using and become productive and independent immediately, no longer having to rely upon computer manuals or the "office expert". His sessions are enjoyable and relaxed and his enthusiasm to share his knowledge and experiences with others is infectious; while being professional and flexible, ensuring the needs of all participants are met. He does insist though that trainees are not allowed to make "mistakes" while in his class - they may only have "learning experiences".
